In November 2021, the Kaga Electronics Group formulated its Medium- to Long-Term Sustainability Management Plan. This plan identifies our key issues (materiality) from the perspectives of E: Environment, S: Society, G: Governance, and B: Business, and sets medium- to long-term targets and major KPIs to address a variety of issues.
Specifically, in our environmental efforts, we view responding to climate change as a corporate responsibility and strive to reduce our environmental impact by, for example, curbing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the use of renewable energy.
Our approach to social issues highlights the theme of diversity promotion and human resource management to ensure diversity and promote the employment of elderly citizens and people with disabilities. Another theme focuses on work-life management and productivity improvement. To this end, we will create an inclusive company and an affluent society by enhancing various programs that support employees engaged in childrearing, nursing care, teleworking, and other activities.
In governance, we are working to further strengthen top management’s execution of supervisory and oversight functions over business execution, and to restructure the governance framework as required by the Corporate Governance Code.
Moving forward, the Group remains committed to valuing dialogue with all stakeholders. In these endeavors, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society while further enhancing our corporate value.
