Notice Regarding Construction of a New EMS Factory in Singapore

2026/03/13
KAGA ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & COO: Ryoichi Kado; hereinafter, “the Company”), hereby announces that KAGA (SINGAPORE) ELECTRONICS PTE LTD. (Head Office: Singapore; President: Hiroaki Terui; hereinafter, “KAGA SINGAPORE”), its consolidated subsidiary, will be opening a new factory scheduled to start operation from April this year in Singapore.
*EMS: an abbreviation of Electronics Manufacturing Service. Service for contracting out the development and production of electronic equipment.

1.Purpose and Aim of the New Singapore Factory Construction
The Company established KAGA THAILAND in 2002 as its core base for the EMS business in the ASEAN region. Currently, KAGA THAILAND has three factories in Thailand engaged in circuit board mounting, mainly for air-conditioning, office equipment, and automotive- related devices. Alongside Thailand, the Company has been expanding its production bases in Malaysia (in 2000), Indonesia (in 2014), and Vietnam (in 2017), through which it is responding to a wide range of customer needs extending from surface mounting of printed circuit boards to finished product assembly, primarily for Japanese companies with electronic and electrical equipment production networks in the region.
KAGA SINGAPORE was established in 1994 for the purpose of supplying semiconductors and electronic components to Japanese manufacturers of electronic and electrical equipment operating in the ASEAN region. It is now establishing a new factory to be equipped with automated circuit board mounting equipment that the Company is developing internally in collaboration with leading Chinese equipment manufacturers, based on the concepts of automation and labor-saving, to meet the growing demand in the region for high-mix, low-volume production. In addition, the new factory will serve as a multifunctional facility that incorporates a showroom for marketing these production systems to external customers, as well as a training center for customer-side operators.
While the Company’s internally developed automation equipment is already installed at sites in Towada (Aomori) in Japan, Suzhou, Shenzhen, and Hubei in China, as well as Amatanakorn in Thailand and Penang in Malaysia, this new factory will be the Company’s first facility to feature both showroom and training center functions. It also represents a pioneering initiative within the EMS industry.

These products are also sold to external customers under the “HATTEN” brand name.
